In March, 1997, Mark J. Rainforth and Thomas R. Rainforth created Fairview Landscape, Lighting & Design, LLC. In the beginning, the company was operated out of a small location on the east side of Grand Island until the Spring of 2000, when the 1423 Johnstown Road landscape facility was erected by the company. This facility serves as the offices, equipment storage and materials warehouse for Fairview Landscape, Lighting and Design.
With over 18 years of landscape and design experience, Mark J. Rainforth has achieved success in the landscape industry through years of hard work and determination. A 1987 graduate of the University of Nebraska School of Technical Agriculture with a degree in Commercial Horticulture, Mark began his career in landscape construction at Campbell’s Nurseries in Lincoln, Nebraska. After 3 years of service, Mark ventured to California to continue his work in the industry as operations manager for Desert Gardens, Inc. Returning to Nebraska in 1993, Mark took a position with Lewis Greenscape, Inc. in a multi-faceted position where he excelled for the next 4 years. The time had then come to create his dream with his father, Tom and thus began Fairview, Landscape, Lighting and Design.
Over the years the company has achieved in and embraced the Grand Island business community, as well as the industry’s professional organizations. Fairview is a member of the Better Business Bureau and part of its Honor Roll (2000-2001) and listed for Excellence in Customer Service (2000-2001). The company is a member of the Grand Island Chamber of Commerce and the National Federation of Independent Business.
Mark is a long-standing member of the Nebraska Association of Nurserymen. He is also a member of Associated Landscape Contractors of America. He has Associate Degrees in Commercial Horticulture, Landscape Design, Nightscaping Technology and AquaScape Design.
